دکتر عاطفه عينعلی نوازنده سنتور و آهنگساز در دانشگاه هنر تهران تحصیل کرده و در حال حاضر در منچستر زندگی میکند، جایی که دکترای خود را در رشته آهنگسازی از دانشگاه منچستر به اتمام رسانده است. او در حال حاضر يكی از آهنگسازان رويال فيلارمونيك انگليس است و روی ساخت اولين اُپرای خود با حمايت شورای هنر اگلستان كار میكند.
Dr. Atefeh Einali is a Santoor player and composer. She studied at the Art University of Tehran and currently lives in Manchester, where she completed her PhD in music composition at the University of Manchester. She has also worked closely with performers, composers, and conductors, with various commissions such as the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, the Southbank Symphony Orchestra, Coma London, the Symphony Verbum Orchestra, the Bridges Orchestra (Frankfurt), the Migrant Voices residency programme by the Olympias Music Foundation, the Psappha Composing for Sitar scheme, the International Guitar Foundation (IGF), IFCA (Iranian Female Composers Association), and the University of Sussex. Recently, one of her pieces for string quartet, “Fear” was performed at the Intimacy of Creativity festival in Hong Kong. Furthermore, she worked as the associate composer in a Non-classical composition scheme project. She is currently a composer with the Royal Philharmonic Society, England, where she is writing a new work for string orchestra for the Maling Festival. She is also supported by Arts Council England through the DYCP (Developing Your Creative Practice) scheme to develop her first opera. As part of this programme, she is mentored by Bushra El-Turk, through whom she has established a connection with the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
Also, the creative process of her composition was portrayed in the online edition of Audiograft - Oxford's annual festival of experimental music and sound art. Besides that festival, the sketch and process of her piece "I am from nowhere" was released by Toward Sounds online exhibition and Deutschlandfunk radio in Berlin, Germany.
Her research is about how to create practices of cross-cultural collaboration for use in compositional methodologies. So, one of her pieces has been chosen for publication in volume 23 of Women and Music: A Journal of Gender and Culture (WAM Journal), the USA. Also, she was one of the winners in the SIMF (ACIMIC= The Association of Iranian Contemporary Music Composers) competition in France in November 2018.
