Friends of Shahnameh formed in 2011 by Dr. Shahireh Sharif and Ali Sadeghi in Manchester to celebrated the national Ferdowsi day (Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi). In 2015 we catered for non-Farsi speakers by adding an English section to the ceremony. In 2020 due to the Corona pandemic the Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi went online.

As well as the annual celebration of the Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi, Friends of Shahnameh runs regular reading of Shahnameh.

Friends of Shahnameh does not belong to any political or religious group.

Our current management team: Dr Shahireh Sharif (Co-Founder and Creative Director), Ali Sadeghi (Co-Founder and Treasurer) Homeyra Doostar (Secretary) and Mr Hadad (Venerable Adults Officer).

گروه دوستان شاهنامه توسط دکتر شهیره شریف و علی صادقی با هدف برگزاری سالروز بزرگداشت فردوسی در 2011 در منچستر شروع به کار کرد. سال 2015 برای اولین بار بخش زبان انگلیسی هم به برنامه بزرگداشت اضافه و در سال 2020 به علت شیوع کرونا برنامه‌ی بزرگداشت فردوسی در فضای مجازی برگزار شد. علاوه بر برگزاری جلسات سالانه‌ی بزرگداشت فردوسی دوستان شاهنامه، کارگاه‌های شاهنامه‌خوانی هفتگی و ماهیانه را هم در برنامه‌ی کاری خود دارد

دوستان شاهنامه به هیچ گروه سیاسی یا عقیدتی وابسته نمی‌باشد
