Every year, people gather to honour one of the greatest figures in Persian literature, Ferdowsi, whose epic poem, the Shahnameh, has shaped Persian culture for over a thousand years. This year marks the 16th Commemoration Day of Ferdowsi, taking place on May 17 at the Wilmslow Conference Centre. This event is free to attend and offers a unique opportunity to celebrate Persian heritage, connect with others, and enjoy a rich cultural experience.

Dr Sahireh Sharif,multidisciplinary artist and bilingual writer, is a published author and performer.
