About The Event
Storytelling & Music as part of Didsbury Arts Festival ِ
Dr. Shahireh Sharif will be introducing Shahnameh (The Book of kings), a poetry book written over a millennium ago by Ferdowsi, a Persian poet. Then she will tell the story of Gordafarid, a female warrior. The story of Gordafarid would then be performed by Saeid Mokhtassi and Reza Ansari. They play guitar and read the poetry in its original language, Persian. We have limited space for our session, to avoid disappointment, please book your free ticket here.
