Saturdays 16th and 23rd March, the 2nd and 3rd sessions of Friends of Shahnameh's collaboration with Sheba Arts at the Haideh and Nejad project:
In these sessions children got to find the UK and Iran on the world map. We re-visited our understanding of Ferdowsi, Shahnameh and Haideh and Nejad’s legacy. Children got to practice some zoorkhaneh moves, talked about Sofreh Haftseen and Nowruz, draw pictures of sefrey haftseen and characters of Shahnameh. After telling the stories and seeing some of the Bijan and Manijeh's dance by Haideh, we talked about the main characters in the story of Bijan and Manijeh (the second week) and Gordafarid (the third week). A summary of the relevant poems is Shahnameh was provided for children as reference.
Children learned and discussed the following stanzas of Shahnameh:
اگر پیشه دارد دلت راستی
چنان دان که گیتی بیاراستی
Agar pishe darad delat rasti
Chenan dan ke giti beyarasti
By being just and truthful
the world would be a beautiful place

همکاری با گروه هنر شیبا در منچستر و شرکت در پروژه هنری هایده و نژاد شنبه 16 و 23 مارس:
در طی این دو جلسه داستان بیژن و منیژه با نیم نگاهی به رقص بیژن و منیژه هایده و نژاد و داستان گردآفرید آموزش داده شد. همچنین کودکان و نوجوانان نقشه انگلستان و ایران را از روی نقشه جهان پیدا کردند، در مورد فردوسی، شاهنامه، زورخانه و کارهای هایده و نژاد بیشتر صحبت کردیم. ابیات قبلی شاهنامه را با هم تمرین و بیتی جدید آموختیم. در مورد خوبی به دیگران صحبت کردیم و بچه‌ها نمونه‌هایی از خوبی به دیگران را مثال زدند. به خاطرات بچه‌ها از نوروز و سفره هفت‌سین پرداختیم با موسیقی زورخانه چند حرکت را تمرین کردیم و نقاشی از سفره هفت‌سین و رستم را هم در برنامه داشتیم.
با فرا رسیدن تعطیلات میان ترمی ایستر بعد از دو هفته مجددا جلسات را ادامه خواهیم داد.
